Exam Policy

Guru Nanak Dev University is committed to providing students with a flexible, accessible, and technology-enabled examination experience.

All examinations will be conducted online through the University’s authorized examination platform. Students will be able to take their examinations remotely by following the technical, identification, and academic integrity requirements prescribed by the University.

To accommodate different schedules and individual circumstances, students will be offered the flexibility to select a suitable examination time from the available time slots for each paper. The selection must be completed within the period announced by the University and will be subject to slot availability.

Once a time slot has been selected and confirmed, students must appear for the examination at the scheduled time. Requests for changes may be considered only in exceptional circumstances and in accordance with University guidelines.

Students are responsible for ensuring that they have:

  • A stable internet connection and a compatible device
  • A quiet and suitable environment in which to complete the examination
  • All required software, permissions, and technical arrangements in place before the examination begins

Detailed instructions regarding registration, time-slot selection, examination duration, technical requirements, permitted materials, and submission procedures will be communicated before the examination period.

Students must comply with the University’s rules on academic integrity. Any form of impersonation, unauthorized assistance, use of prohibited materials, copying, or misconduct during an online examination may result in disciplinary action under University regulations.

In the event of a genuine technical difficulty, students must immediately report the issue through the designated support channel and provide the required details or evidence. The University will review such cases in accordance with the applicable examination guidelines.

The University reserves the right to modify examination schedules, available time slots, or procedures when necessary. Any changes will be communicated through official University channels.
